Standing there looking at the beautiful, cold water and the sun shining down I was reminded of the movie Willow,

"Ignore the bird; follow the river!"

Pinaleņo Mountains, southeastern Arizona. Spring.

Uummm, wow, all of the recent love has really taken me by surprise. Thank you!

Layers and textures through out and even down to the water's heavy rippling, this is a mess of beauty, and it works! The color and focus is perfect! Bravo!!

Never seen the movie, but I love this shot!

When I first glance at it, it's a beautiful scene and peaceful as well.
Upon looking closer, the first thing I think of is that it looks like an old stairway, the only remaining pathway to somewhere special. Nature has grown up to the very edges of it and water as claimed it as a passageway, rocks finding themselves deposited along on the smooth steps.

I want to follow that path...see where it leads me.

Must have been wonderful~

it actually led some where very interesting. off to side was the original path, nearly over grown with weeds- I happened to step some stone steps and what looked like a cannal bridge. followed it along and found all stone pieces laying about, a knocked over stone/motor table that resembled a tumbled down house. my husband told me that some of these paths had been about since the early 1930s and had never been cleared away. it was...I got goose bumps at one point.
